Key points: Start: 13:13 Distance: 22-33 depends, heck if I know! Size: Limited to 5, will increase if the ride makes it. Here we go again with the Mid-day Training Ride • Through the winter months this ride will roll weather permitting. • This ride meant to give you an opportunity to ride with others (yes a group ride) during the “heat” of the day! • It is a no drop ride, we will ride as slow as necessary or as fast as we can from time to time. • The route is on the PRCC ride library (PMP Lollipop Lollipop). And we deviate from the plan! o Due to the small size we may ride a pace-line for improved efficiencies o If there are sections we want to repeat just because, or we are silly, or for any other reason we will. o So be flexible, this is a fun ride and deviation from norm is ok! o https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44998873 • Start: Carpenter Ball Parks (baseball fields West side by the restroom) • The 13:13 start is intended to get us back to the barn before the sun gets low enough to create a hazard for vehicle drivers (and us). It is a 2-3 hour ride, depending on how many intervals or repeats riders feel like. Time may control the distance more so than the distance controlling the time • It is our ride so we can modify it as we wish to make it better. • This is not a ‘normal’ ride North Texans are accustomed. We don’t go in a big circle or square. We are different, but we do ride and have fun. • As a training ride you get to put more or less effort into it, depending on how strong you feel for the day. • Please check the weather to verify it is in your comfort zone. If I missed something you need to know ask. Hope to see you there. Just ride, J. G.

We ride weather permitting and it didn‘t permit!!! Guess what the Temperature was on 2/10/21? The Basics: • Start time: 8:59 a.m. (It says eight to make those who want an early ride happy. But then it is close to 9, to make those who want a later ride) • Windhaven Meadows Park The Other Stuff: • We ride weather permitting ?! Each rider has their own weather limits either summer or winter, don’t let the group mentality persuade you to ride outside your zone. • We start and finish together. We take care of each other, no drop! • Goal speed is 16.5, life is ok if we don’t make goal. This year has been a challenge, or better said 16.5 is a challenge this year. • We work together to make goal. Pull if you can help, but it isn’t required. • The route/root (depending on whether you are talking noun or verb either word). We have been riding Koal https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45513959, but with variances depending on weather. • Join us and learn the secret as to why we are returning for another year of riding our ride our way. • We have been averaging, 6-10 riders which is a safe and fun size. • The ride is short 30 miles, allowing you to get on with your day. There are Partee mile options, depending. And finish before the life changing and important bowl games. • Riding the Sunday ride makes you beautiful! • Register early everyone knows you will be there anyway. We just ride safely and have fun!!!! Regards, J. G.
